Having been a Volunteer English Tutor at Y.M.C.A. institution, Sao Hin, Chiang Mai for three years, I discovered that teaching is not just a job or a business, but it is a career involving with mind. It is neither about money nor fame, it is a hope to see all my students reaching their goals of learning English and being successful.

Like the Chinese proverb said, “Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I may remember. Involve me and I will understand,” I always keep this saying in my mind and improving my teaching skills. I believe that teaching with entertainment as if the students were in a theater effectively makes them understand lessons easier, so my teaching style is to teach them with fun.

With my English proficiency, several teaching techniques, love, and care, I will be like a candle to light the way for the students and spark them, inspire them, let them shine like the sunlight because my genuine desire is to support the students to pass their school exams and many kinds of tests required for university admission and to become skillful in English.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree in English Literature from Chiang Mai University. Now, I am studying at Chulalongkorn University with a Master degree program of Art in Comparative Literature.

After having obtained BA in Political Science at Chulalaongkorn University, Ghee spent her life overseas from 2007 until 2011, mostly in England, where she studied Sociology and Research Methods.  Ghee received Master of Science in Social Science Research Methods from University of Bristol, UK.  She is currently working as a lecturer.

Hi!! I’m Tukta, and I graduated with a B.A. degree majoring in German from Thammasat University. I lived, worked and studied abroad in the United States for several years where I have gained many great experiences especially English skills.

I like studying languages, and am able to speak German and English fluently. In the future, I plan to study Spanish as well. I especially like tutoring students to improve their English writing skills, following a Writing Process method, and in Conversational English.

I believe that every individual learns differently, and that I can accommodate students’ needs to success in English. I am eager to do all to support every student in reaching their goals.

Having spent more than five years as an English language tutor, Tina has helped numerous students through school exams and equipped many others with the language skills necessary to join university study programmes. While she continues teaching at House of Griffin, she also coordinates and develops our exam preparation courses [GED/SAT/CU-AAT/CU-TEP/CU-ATS/TU-GET/TOEFL MUIC].

Teacher Tar is an enthusiastic and professional instructor who has a talent for helping his students reach their goals. With a B.A. in English and a M.A. in Business English for International Communication, he is well equipped to prepare students for their academic challenges.

Tar is experienced in reading comprehension as well as written English composition. He shows devotion and excellence in the GED Language Arts Reading, Writing and Social Studies of his students for exams as well as turning their dreams of learning international into reality.

Caring, hard working, and always there to help each and every student achieve their highest potential is Tar’s motto for student success.

Having been raised in a family surrounded with teachers and seeing teaching through the heart of my mother, I can understand both perspectives of being a teacher. The soul of being a devoted teacher and realizing how parents care about their children’s future prompted me to choose teaching as a career. So, from a very early childhood, I knew I would follow in the footsteps of my mother.

I believe that the most effective way of teaching and learning is delivering the lesson through active participation and with joy.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Economics Degree from Thammasat University and a Master of Arts in International Communication from Macquarie University, Sydney Australia.

Presently, I am teaching GED Math and Social Studies.

When I was 15 year old, I moved to the United Sates where I attended North Central High School. After high school, I attended Indiana University where I received Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Neuroscience.

During my college career I was very involved. I worked as a lab assistant in both a spore and neuroendocrine lab. Some of my extracurricular activities include becoming a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Alpha Delta Pi provided me with many philanthropy opportunities including Indiana University Dance Marathon, which is an Indiana University traditional event that helps Riley Children Hospital. Alpha Delta Pi also provided me with many networking opportunities with my life time sisters. Other philanthropy opportunities I participated in include volunteering for the Ronald McDonald House, which is an organization that supports the health and well-being of children across the world. I also had the opportunity to shadow two OB/GYNs and a geriatric, and spent the summer of 2009 helping a doctor who is a specialist in allergy and asthma in her clinic. These experiences helped to expand my knowledge in their respected medical fields, and have left me with enduring priceless memories.

My next goal is to attend graduate school. I am planning to go back to U.S. to get a master degree in either Master Science of Medical Science or Public Health. After that, I want to attend Medical School.

Since I received my education in both Thailand and America, I can see advantages and disadvantages in both countries. My method of teaching is by modifying American style with the combination of Thai’s style. With this method, students will be able to understand and memorize materials very well.

Having graduated from Chulalongkorn University, Faculty of Engineering, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Kru Bank is specialized in Mathematics and the science of Physics.

Kru Bank joins the Griffin professional team after having completed four years of teaching experience in his chosen profession-Mathematics and Physics. This experience helps Kru Bank to teach with competence and makes him an effective teacher in explanations of scientific theory and vocabulary. 

Kru Bank is experienced with science educational programs and is keen in areas of composition, importance, and relevance of the current teaching materials. He has already demonstrated his love of science and his knowledge of this subject matter enables students to succeed and progress in their chosen studies.

We are pleased to have Kru Bank as a new member of the Griffin Academy.

After graduating from university with Bachelor's degree of Law [LL.B] from Thammasat University, I discovered that Law is not my passion. Teaching English is the final answer. Therefore, I have decided to study more about language. I went to the United States and lived in Westchester County, New York, for two and a half years. Most of the time that I lived there, I took several courses from the Language Institute of Westchester Community College. Learning English as a Second Language [ESL] extremely helped me improving English skills especially grammar.  I have started teaching many students since 2008 and helped them conquer the best grades in their schools. I now have much confidence and experience to contribute the finest knowledge [with passion] to students who eagerly want to pass GED test.
